Minimal incision subtenon block

I am a big fan of the scissorless technique. However, there are some situations where this is not appropriate. This video shows that if scissors are used the size of incision should be minimal, in fact just large enough for the cannula insertion. It may be that not all layers are cut and this would be a hybrid of the scissorless and classic open techniques. The cannula is an triport eagle. Of particular note, there is no place for blindly inserting scissors into the incision. This is unnecessary trauma. I find this useful in younger patients and also think patients have minimal awareness of the block insertion.
