Reading Stanislas Dehaene’s “Consciousness and the brain”

Apart from the odd anesthesiological article going through my hands, this is what I spend some of my time with. It is entertaining and erudite and very recommendable! I know I should read Györgyi Buszak’s “Rhythms of the brain” to get the grasp on our conscience’s machinery that I think anesthesiologists should have but frankly, I need to build up to that intellectual horizon. While reading it or listening to it as audible format I certainly the clinical instructiveness that reading Oliver Sacks or V.S. Ramachandran, but nevertheless, Dehaene does an excellent job at describing his own and other researcher’s efforts to better understand the structure of a mind that we anesthesiologists so lightheartedly albeit temporarily suspend. Will comment on it further!
