While attending OFISACON 2017 in Hyderabad, Telangana, India I had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with Tom Eke from Norwich, England. Whilst preparing for sub-Tenon-workshop he presented me with a sample of Blink medical’s new conjunctival probe to be used in STB. As many of our anaesthesiological colleagues fear to use scissors on a patient’s eye this might just be a great solution to the mentioned problem. Before perforating the double-layer made of bulbar conjunctiva and Tenon’s fascia bluntly as Dr. Keith Allman has tought us, you probe the two layers creating a small opening and then negotiate the injection probe. Worked elegantly on my first patient.
