Registration 1st Symposium of ESOA – European Society of Ophthalmic Anaesthesia

Dear colleagues,

preparations for the symposium are in full swing! Registration is starting soon! We are soon opening  „early-bird-registration“ until September 30th (CHF 430 for BOAS-members, CHF 470 non-BOAS-members). From 1st october on registration will be CHF 500 for BOAS-members and CHF 550 for non-BOAS members. Single-days are CHF 300.

The scientific programme is to be found in a draft form, please reckon that changes can still materialize.

Engelberg is south of Lucerne, less than a one hour train ride into the mountains. Flying into Switzerland is well possible into airports at Basel, Geneva and Zurich. Milan isn’t too far away either. Please take notice that notwithstanding cheap airfares into Geneva, train fares are high in Switzerland and will add substantially to your travel cost.

Hotel Bellevue Terminus is exactly opposite the Engelberg train station. Rates are in the middle of the price range in Engelberg. It offers beautifully renovated rooms in an Art-deco-hotel. Other hotels near (1-3 minutes walk) to the venue are Hotel Sonnwendhof, Ski Lodge Engelberg, Hotel Crystal, Hotel Schweizerhof. Hotel Hoheneck, Hotel Terrace and H+-Hotel are in a walking distance of 3-5 minutes. Spannort Inn, The Engelberg Youth hostel and SAC Brunnihütte offer cheap accomodation in hostel standard.

The booking homepages also offer a wide array of rental appartements. Engelberg is a small town in a valley, so walking distances are generally short.

Although 5th & 6th December are not high skiing season, Engelberg has a reputation of starting the wintersport season early, so don’t wait too long booking your accomodation.

Both homepages www.engelberg.ch and www.titlis.ch provide information for tourists.
